Diana Ofori-Owusu

Bio

Diana Ofori-Owusu: holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in Sociology from the University of Cape Coast in Cape Coast, the Central Region of Ghana, a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science (combined Economics and Sociology), and a Diploma in Education from the same university. She is a consultant with extensive experience in both qualitative and quantitative research. From 2021 to date, she has been an associate consultant for Dalan Development Consultants having led and coordinated a number of policy relevant research activities. Between 2017 and 2021, she was an external consultant for Oxford Policy Management (OPM) and held the position of MEL coordinator on the UKAID funded Sierra Leone Secondary Education Improvement Program (locally called Leh Wi Lan). She was the principal researcher for the Centre for Economic and Social Policy Analysis (CESPA) in Sierra Leone from 2007 to 2017. She has research experience in diverse areas such as agriculture, health, education, tourism and water and sanitation. Whilst with Dalan Development Consultants, she has engaged in projects on health systems strengthening, WASH and Education in the formal and informal systems. More recently, in her role as senior researcher for the IDRC/GPE/KIX supported study titled ‘Increasing Access to Quality Education for Rural and Marginalised Children in West Africa- A Comparative Study of Accelerated Education and Girls Focused Programmes in Ghana, Nigeria and Sierra Leone’, she led several field research activities and generated products over the four-year period, including technical reports and policy briefs.
